is anyone doing this? it technically works but cant seem to get the spacers/wave washer quite right…

Photos to come, but you should take off the adjuster ring and just use washers. is your adjuster still on?

I replaced the adjuster with the washer. I am using some little 0.5mm shims to get the washer just compressed but seem to need a lot of them (4-5). I spaced them out on both the drive and non drive side but last night the crank starting locking up so might have used too many… wave washer was still barely compressed though.

I’m not using the 4130, but I just installed the BSA-30 Rotor adapter. Had to take out the all the spacers and the adjuster and put in shims and wave washers. Took a few tries and a few taps with a mallet each time to make sure the spindle was all the way in each time and had a few ‘lockups’ when I had too many spacers in, but I’ve got about 100 miles on it now with no issues.

did you put the wave washer on the drive or non-drive side out of curiosity?
I should make a correction I have the bsa30 on the p4. Also have a s5 with the 4130. Is this on a bbright frame?

its a BB86 frame (plasma premium). I ran the same crank on my Felt B16 before using the BSA30 and it worked well. Having a little trouble getting the spacing right on the 4130… I had the wave washer just slightly compressed and it was locking up my crank so I now have it where there is really not any preload and its feeling better.

Got it to work finally! Quarq sent me a handy manual they put together for this!
out of curiosity, how many shims/spacers did you end up needing?

Sorry for taking so long to answer. I forgot about this thread until someone else asked about it in another thread.
I have a ‘bearing shield’ on each side of the BB up against the orange seals, and then on the non-drive side I have one wavy washer.
