Arch pain (3)

I am experiencing a dull pain in the arch of one foot when running. It begins after about ten minutes of running and disappears after about 30 minutes. I have tried orthotics, massaging with golf balls and ice, and recently (too soon to tell) had dry needling. Any thoughts?

You might need new shoes, you might need new shoes with better posting, or you might just need to keep massaging and stretching that area. I tend to get aches and pains that persist when my shoes are getting close to worn out.

If my aches and pains persist too long I see my PT. No more “working through it” for me.

I had arch pain that went undiagnosed for a few frustrating months, it turned out to be giant knots in my calve. Probably rare, but just an FYI, the cause can be far away from the symptom in these things.
