At the risk of sounding gross…I really stink up my car after a run. I also am ruining my car seat.
Any products out there as car seat protectors that people use?

There’s always just laying down a towel.
They also make some more purpose built products: http://www.seatshield.com/index.php
These have the advantage of a waterproof liner so you don’t soak through.
this is what i do. and not just for after a workout—i started doing it so the sunscreen i just put on wouldn’t rub off and dirty the seat while lessening its usefulness. for sure i wouldn’t be buying anything for this purpose. i’ve often found it useful to have a towel in the car, anyway.
and as for odor, i just roll down the windows.

my sister got me this: http://happeseat.com/ for christmas this year.
i would have never bought it for myself, because i would have just used a towel.
i can say after using it that it is pretty nice. you get full seat coverage, which is important for those of us that sweat like pigs. it also has a grippy backside so it doesnt slide around on the seat. id recommend it. its basically a fancy, dedicated towel, but it does the job.
Wet Okole
Had my set for 12 years, just starting to show wear.
Incredibly well made. Very snug perfect fit. Best seat cover investment I ever made.
Has the thought of bringing a change of clothes crossed your mind? You can toss dirty clothes in a “gym” bag or whatever bag you use. Towel off a little and you’re good to go.
I typically bring a spare shirt when I go dirt riding on the MTB and change into that before hopping into the car.
I remember seeing something at a running store for this exact purpose, and I need it. I didn’t get it though. Can’t remember the name, but the slogan was something like “for those still using a towel.”

I’ve seen car seat protectors made for dogs which would work. Cheap, waterproof and easy to take on and off. Me, I just use a towel.
I started keeping some old race shirts (that I was about to get rid of anyway) in the back of my car for this exact reason. After a run, I just drape it over my seat and put a small towel on the bottom of the seat. Done.
When I get home, I through them in the wash – and still have about 4 or 5 shirts in the back of my car.

The genesis of that phrase is to 'sweat like pigiron". When iron cools down it reaches a point where it will condense the moisture in the air into water. Hence the genesis of the phrase.
Costco sell a pair of wetsuit material seat covers for $20. They are a nice grey and black. I’ve had mine for a while and they are actually great quality. I think you can throw them in the wash and if they get bad enough, you can toss them.
I think I just had a slowtwitch deja vu. dead serious. I think I used that expression a while ago and then I think someone corrected me in the same manner. Hell, it may have been you?
I’m not crazy. You didn’t reply to me, but you did reply on a thread and I commented right below you:

I am a big fan of the towel. Tim
I have used the seatshield for a few years now, it works great and never smells. I don’t put it in the dryer so maybe that helps

This is what I do. Just a raggidy tshirt to change into before jumping into the car.
I use this one. Works great, it really is waterproof so sometimes I have a little puddle of sweat I have to tip out the door when I get home. I sweat a lot.

Usually just a towel works. But, sometimes I’m just too sweaty and it seeps through the towel. In this case, I put a big poncho down, then the towel on top of it. I tried sitting directly on the poncho for a while, but that just made me sweat more.
