Am I the only one with workouts stuck on the 910 as Garmin has discontinued use of the Garmin Ant Agent? I cannot get data to load into SportTracks either. Really cornfused. Any thoughts?
Does Garmin Express at least put your data onto Garmin Connect? You can login to your Garmin connect profile and then export the data as a .tcx file. That’s what I had to do to upload my data to Training Peaks b/c Device Agent from TP wouldn’t find my garmin data when I used Express… Luckily I didn’t uninstall Ant Agent and I’m still using that.

You can still download Ant Agent http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=3741
Am I the only one with workouts stuck on the 910 as Garmin has discontinued use of the Garmin Ant Agent?Um, what? Are you asking about Garmin Training Center as I see nothing to indicate that Garmin ANT Agent has been discontinued on the product/download page? Although it is no longer supported, I still have Garmin Training Center installed and ANT Agent downloads files, opens Training Center, and updates the activities from my 910XT without issue.
Having the same problem. Garmin Express does not recognize my 910, but does for my 800. Have to use ANT Agent for the 910. PITA.
Any 510 issues?
Express wont work with my 910 either, Ant agent still works fine
.
My 910 and 510 are both working fine with Express.
Garmin express downloads my workouts just fine from my 910 and 500. It took a couple updates to GE before it was working properly…but it is all good now.
It should also be storing your workouts locally: C:\ProgramData\GARMIN\GarminConnect(Device ID)\Upload\FIT_TYPE_4 …if they are there, you should be able to quickly upload them to sporttracks. I do that for strava.
Garmin is a mess right now.
I just got the Fenix2 and express doesnt work, bluetooth via my phone doesnt work. I feel like I’m a beta tester, but the problem is I paid full price for this.
OK, I deleted the Garmin Express as it does not yet support the 910. After removing all .fit files and reinstalling Ant Agent as well as Garmin communicator, I’m back to downloading from unit to Garmin Connect. Wiht the files on the hard drive, they can be dropped into Training Peaks. Whew, what an evening of fussing rather than training!

Express definitely works with the 910 on Windows 7, the part I don’t like is the change in file download locations and that it perpetually can’t seem to find the ANT stick. They broke a working product, for what?
I shutdown Express and have continued to only use the old ANT agent. Remember the old adage, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” The ANT agent never gave me problems and after a week of Express headaches and issues, I’ve come back to a perfectly fine and functional ANT agent.
Ant Agent still works on my mac fine. I just removed express

Same here.
I’ve been successful uploading workouts with Express on the Mac but it doesn’t work for downloading a workout from Garmin Connect to my 910. It’s an issue that the Garmin Forums have a sticky about and it say just use Ant Agent but uninstall Express first.
Over there a lot problems around Express and the new Connect interface…ugh.
As someone else mentioned, the new Garmin Express will save your workouts locally to your PC. You can then upload those to SportTracks PC or .mobi, no problem. If you’re importing FIT files we even support vector data like left/right power balance.
Garmin has publicly stated they will no longer support Garmin Communicator going forward. Which means quick and easy imports from your watch into apps or a webpage are a thing of the past. You’ll need to get used to importing the workout files. Or go with Garmin Connect only. =)
It’s now been exactly ONE MONTH since Garmin Connect posted to their facebook page telling people to uninstall Garmin Express, and then went completely dark. The team seems to be working hard and things are slowly stabilizing on the website but there are still some pretty serious issues.
The month of zero updates pretty much sums up the situation, unfortunately.
