Any ideas on how to repair this? Local bike support is professing ignorance.
rear line is severed at the headset → frame point.
is there a specialized housing? Any ideas as to a bike shop that could service this around Cabo San Lucas?

I don’t have any advice on where to get your bike fixed but the same thing happened to me right before IMFL. Make sure you remove the cable keepers where the brake like enters the frame. Here is the poster where Damon confirmed it. Good luck. Hope you can find a repair shop. If not race with the front brake only. Not ideal but can be done if your careful.
Check the bike repair at the Holiday Inn parking lot - - run by Ken Glah’s crew. You will need to pay him and offer to pay him . .(he is free for Glah customers) but he is very good. Matt I think is his name. He is there in the morning, I think starting around 7:00 or 8:00 and then there all day to probably about 4:00.
It’s a triathlon, shouldn’t need brakes. Are there steep downhills with 90 degree corners? If not just ride.
Plus, rear brake doesn’t do the stopping, front does. Practice stoppies.
Finally, if you “have” to get some rear brake action, clip out one foot and use it between your frame and rear tire a la fixie with no brakes.
Not that this helps OP, but this is part of the reason I chose mechanical brakes and drivetrain on my 2014 P3 build. Anyone can work on them and pre-race support (if needed) is sure to be able to handle it.
I was there last year and remember that there was a Specialized store near the host hotel and packet pickup location, along one of the more chic streets near downtown (it was on the run course). Assuming your Magura are hydraulic (right?) maybe they can replace the hose or whatever.
So basically, no fix, but luckily Tri Bike Transport’s owner got in touch with some people that hadn’t flown down with and are bringing the necessary repair kit.
Looks like the insert may be responsible or may not for the guillotine effect, we’ll know more in the morning.
if the insert in installed, it is almost assuredly responsible as the cables can’t move out of the way of the aduro stem when locked in place.

YEEEEP… that’s right. looks like that’s the problem. It was basically never ridden away from a trainer, so the bike shop screwed up.
The specialized shop had no knowledge… but hopefully the parts kit makes it down here…
It’s not my bike, but my friend’s, so I have to admit this is giving me pause at buying one of these systems…
Maybe it will get more prevalent in a year or two.
Brandon is right, any hydraulic line from a mtb disc brake should work in a pinch. Just make sure to hold onto the old lines so you can swap the fittings over.
It’s the magura low pressure line, they also make a high pressure line, you will need to save the threaded fitting and get a new crush fitting, I doubt you can salvage those. It’s not that hard, you will also need the proper magura blue fluid and a bleeding kit. Mountain bike shop or cervelo retailer is your best bet.
If you have the cable bucket and an aduro take it out it won’t work.
I will bring my tools and spare line when travel for sure now, even if I don’t need it someone may. Be a good way to barter for post race wine.
