Kickr + Cervelo P2 TT bike - a bit 'crunchy?'

I just got a new Kickr, did the spindown no problem via BT with my phone.

While it pedals fine, and reports power in line with what I saw on my powertap wheel, I’m noticing that there’s a mild crunchy sound/feeling when I pedal. Reminiscent of when your derailleur is maladjusted and it kinds of slogs along partially in between shifts. Thing is, the gears all shift fine while mounted on the Kickr, no half shifts. Chain is correct length (checked with chain checker). It doesn’t seem to be ‘in-between’ shifts at all.

I suspect I might have the bike mounted suboptimally (not straight) due to the TT dropouts on the Cervelo which make it hard to align straight on without the rear wheel, but just checking with others to see if they have smooth-silky Kickrs, or if they get a bit of crunchiness feeling and sound as well. (My Cycleops Fluid2 was totally smooth.)

I’m on a Cervelo P2 TT bike.

My P2SL was a little ‘crunchy’ at first but I was due for a new chain and since replacing it’s been butter smooth.

I am on a 2006 P2 and it’s very smooth. You may just need to fine tune your rear barrel adjuster a little.
