This will be my third year participating in the MT 70.3. I have always enjoyed staying in the Pedestrian Village, but being the bonehead that I am I left reserving a room too late. I am looking at lodging away from the race site which means driving to the race site via Montee Ryan race morning. Does anybody know when Montee Ryan is closed to traffic on race morning? Is it even possible to drive to the race site early, say around 5AM?
There are still rooms available in or near the pedestrian village:
Sorry for the long url… I just searched on hotels.com. Some are expensive, but there’s one at $171 per night which is pretty reasonable considering.
This will be my third year too and we always passed by the Montée Ryan on race morning. We are at the Confort inn hotel for the third year also. So yes it is possible to drive to the race site via the montée Ryan
It seems that there is a 3 night minimum for that hotel. The Fairmont has a two night minimum but it is $300/night - ouch.
don’t know the answer to your question but Tremblant.ca shows rooms still available in the Pedestrian Village.
That is good to know about Montee Ryan being open early race morning. I checked the Comfort Inn and it is fully booked. I guess I will have to expand the distance from which I am willing to travel, or bite the bullet big and pay for 3 nights in the Pedestrian Village when I really only need to stay 1 night (I live <2 hours away from Tremblant).
The only hotel in the Pedestrian Village with a 2 night minimum that is on the Tremblant.ca website is the Fairmont at $300 per night. All of the other lodgings are condos in the surrounding area, some of which are very close to the Pedestrian Village, and all of which are very pricey.

Fair enough - I had put in 3 nights when I searched.
Another option would be to sleep on a bench in my wetsuit.
Ditto, I searched based on 3 nights. I live pretty close to Tremblant as well, but wanted to make a trip of it, spend some time on the swim course, get accustomed to the lay of the land, etc.
