My suggestion is to ditch the “(new)” part and just get an old (like 80’s) road frame with horizontal dropouts and a thread-on hub wheel, and replace the freewheel with a single speed unit.

This is my single speeder., Put some fenders on her and It’s my rain bike. Belt drive never needs lube, light, efficient, quiet, durable.
