School me on the new SILICA pump heads

I have a Joe Blow pump that works. I love the big dial, but hate the presta/schreader dual head. I am wanting to pick up the new Silica head and use it with the Joe Blow body/hose.

Please let me know if I have it right. I need:
Lockring Schraeder Chuck jammed into the hose where the old head was: http://silca.cc/collections/pump-heads/products/locking-schrader-chuckStainless Presta Head: http://silca.cc/collections/pump-heads/products/silca-17-4-stainless-presta-headDisc wheel adaptor (if I don’t want to connect my current crack pipe to the Stainless Presta Head): http://silca.cc/collections/pump-heads/products/disc-wheel-mini-chuck
True? It seems like the point of the Lockring Schraeder Chuck is to make it easy to switch back and for the between the presta head and disc adaptor.

If I just want the Stainless Presta Head, do I need the Lockring Schraeder Chuck at all?

I insert a threaded crack pipe directly into stock pump head and lock lever. Not possible with Joe Blow?

I’d love it if Josh would explain the new black one - I can’t seem to get it between “pops right off” and “the whole screw adjustment part comes off”.

The Joe Blow doesn’t grip it well enough. This one does:

I love the pump, but the gauge is harder to read for precise applications. ~6-7 Bar is good enough for riding around, but I like the dial better on the Joe Blow. Just not the head.

Oh yes, I seem to remember that issue with the Topeak (joe blow) dual heads. If possible, you can always swap-out another head from a pump you may already own. I’ve had to do this on occasion…

(always trying to save $$$, use spare parts, etc.)

i’d guess you are turning the screw mechanism the wrong way(off) instead of tighter fit.
