Seems sacrilegious to call it by that name. At the very least, very sad.
I agree with your sentiment … but the reality always was that 3/4 of the field when Silverman was an independent race did the 70.3. It’s legend is beyond the reality … like a lot of things

Yes, we should at least insist on the addition of the 70.3 to differentiate from the legend…
I would say unless people who didn’t qualify for the 70.3 worlds and want to experience the course flock to the race, most likely not. But then there is the myth of the “real” Silverman, complete with the Three Sisters that may attract more racers.

Yes, My “guess” is that it will sell out. It may take a while. I signed up.
