Wired srm powermeter with powercontrol v head unit will read cadence but not watts. When watts are registered, max is 6 watts. Bounces from 1-6 watts.
Tries zero offset but did not change anything. Is this a battery issue?

Have you tried repositioning the power sensor? I do a zero offset with the crankarms in four different positions (12, 3, 6, 9 o’clock). If the sensor is not picking up (not positioned) correctly, the values for the zero offset will vary in the different positions.
Usually if it’s picking up the cadence it should also pick up the power.
It might be the battery, when was it last changed?.
Tried zeroing out in all positions but still no change.
Battery is 2 years old.
Give SRM a call. When I’ve had any issues with my wired system, they’ve been very helpful on the phone!
Which type of harness are you using - power/cadence sensor underneath the BB shell, or mounted to the drive-side chainstay? When I first got my SRM, it came with the former (underneath the BB shell) and I couldn’t get it to pick up in any mounted position - would work if I held it in the proper position, but there was no way to mount it in that position. Contacted SRM and they sent out the other type (sensor mounted on the drive-side chainstay) - worked perfectly.
