I just had to start one because I feel like I just may be the only guy (or maybe, person) who feels this way but am hoping there are others. Anyone else think that watching a bunch of guys you don’t know chasing a ball could be the most boring way to spend your weekends?
I’m pretty much with you. I won’t be tuning in to a single game. Meanwhile, friends of mine will watch every game they can possibly fit into their schedule for the next 2 or so weeks.
Count me in on tuning out the month of March.

I have never seen, nor will I ever see, a basketball game.
Whereas I don’t hate MM, I don’t follow it. What I hate is the incredulousness that comes from most of the others when they learn I/ you don’t follow it. Non-lovers of MM are freaks and don’t belong in modern society, according to most of their reactions.
Bunch of triathletes complaining about basketball being boring. Hilarious.

+1
I find the post ironic at a minimum. I am still not aware of a sport as boring as triathlon.

Only the OP stated it was boring.

I take it that you don’t like any ball sports?
Is chasing pucks any better for you?
For some reason I can tolerate baseball (the one sport that many big sports fans call the most boring of the sports), but as for all other ball/ puck sports I can’t stand any of them.
I can’t stand how “bracketology” is bandied about with these games. So many “experts” are willing to go on about how they are picking team “X” to be upset by team “Y”. The NCAA came up with a super marketing ploy with the bracket and getting people to enter pools with their bracket selections, but even getting the first round correct is a total shot in the dark.
I agree, I have no interest in watching the games. Back in the day, I knew some of the “star” NCAA players, and I’d tune in to watch some of the games and these players. These days, I haven’t even heard of some of the schools playing in the tournament. (MTSTMR/Albany? Coastal Carolina? N. Carolina Central? Wofford? Mercer? TEXSOU/CAPLY? American U?) Goodness knows who the star players are anymore.
I’ll watch the final game (probably). Sort of like watching the World Cup soccer finals or some of the Olympic events.
Guessing you never watched an ironman? That is beyond boring.
I’m posting to this thread to voice my displeasure with a group of people that are participating in a voluntary discussion regarding an activity that I’m not interested in. There are medications that will soothe the butthurt you’re currently experiencing.

I am exactly the opposite. I don’t watch a single game of basketball (NBA or NCAA), but come March Madness I fill out a bracket in a work pool to see how well I can do against the pumpkin pounding faithful. It’s really the only way I can stand to watch the tournament anyway, and love to see the upsets and Cinderella Stories that make it to the Sweet 16 and bust everyones bracket.
Basketball sucks.
But because of the repetitious nature of the game I can understand why certain demographics enjoy it.
Simple game for simple minds.

Yeah, says the short white guy without the ability/skill to play. I play everyday at lunchtime with a bunch of other PhDs. I’ve played for nearly 45 years. Obviously boring and repetitious.
Same. Never watched a MM event but when I go to bball games, I enjoy them. I prefer baseball.

From the surfer? Not sure about your local break, but the lineup at mine is full of the some of the simplest minds I’ve ever come across.

Don’t forget the MMA. Hit, break something, complain about continual pain. Repeat.

Unlike the excitement of watching others fall off a surfboard. Over. And over. And over.
