Timberman 70.3...does this race sell out?

Anyone know if the 70.3 tends to sell out?

I did the race in 2012 when it did not sell out. I am quite certain that it did not sell out in 2011 either. Not sure about 2013 but I do know that in June it was still open because I was considering it at that point.

It may, especially since it’s the major 70.3 in New England at the end of the summer. Last year it was very close to full, if not sold out. They don’t race Mooseman anymore and it seemed like that helped Timberman get closer to selling out. Timberman not only attracts a lot of New Englanders – it also get s a ton of Canadians.

But if you’re thinking of signing up, you probably have some time.

I think the Mt. Tremblant 70.3 will take some pressure off as they are geographically close (though 2 months apart).

I signed up last year in mid June.

It used to sell out - at 1500 entrants, I think. Since WTC took it over, it seems to get more and more crowded.

It hasn’t sold out in years. Used to sell out by April. There is a chance this year could be different, as Nationals was not to far away in Vermont the same weekend a couple of recent years, plus now Mont Tremblant is also the same weekend. I still don’t think I’ll sign up until June and I’m not worried.
