That’s right LR, Tax Freedom Day is three days later this year.
Oh, and we will pay more in Federal & State taxes than we do for food, clothing and housing combined, so yay us!

Pfft… whatever.
Ours is June 9th…
I’ll look forward to the day that I make enough that more of my income goes to taxes than food, clothing, and housing because right now a third of my gross goes to rent alone.

Is the “Tax freedom” day “Income tax only” or all taxes? Because a portion of what you spend on rent, food and clothing is also going to taxes. In my area ~30-50% of the cost of rent is taxes.

I honestly don’t know the breakdown on my rent. It’s Boulder, but I’m on university land so my share of property tax might not be as high as the surrounding area.
Lucky you. As a Canadian Tax Freedom day is June 10th. Basically half a year before I actually start paying myself.
