Nice that sounds like fun.

Just came in from walking the pups on the beach. Beer is on the menu.

Absolutely. Two beers in, working on my third and already eyeing the bottle of Laphroaig 18.

To cap off a ridiculously stressful week at work thanks to multiple conflicting project deadlines in the US and APAC, on my way to the office yesterday some f*cker cut me off right as I was passing him (it seemed like it was intentional on his part, but who knows), resulting in me wrecking the front end of my car against the steel central divider and getting closely acquainted with my airbag.

At least the beers are helping the neck and shoulder ache.

Careful. I had a pinch in my back once and had to head to a holiday function. I decided to “Self medicate” to ease my pain. I ended up getting ridunculously shit faced, harrased the local female radio personality that was also the host of the event and woke up the next morning with not only an eyesplitting hangover but paralyzed from the next up with a severe left leaning head tilt. Took me almost two weeks before I regained full mobility again

Did you guys finally get some snow out there?

We’re at Mammoth. It’s less snow than usual (8-10 feet of base rather that 20-25). Got some snow a couple days ago and more on the way tonigh and tomorrow (1-2 feet).

It’s much better than I expected. Little windy today but not too cold (high 30s-low 40s).

FWIW I brewed this SURLY BENDER and I really like it. It’s a bit like a lite, but hoppy Stout. Supposed to be a “Brown ale” and it does have some ale characteristics, but it ain’t to brown

It’s definitely on my top 10 list of home brews I’ve done.

I’m glad I read your entire post. At first glance I thought those were pizza rolls.

Lucky bastard. We’ve had NO snow this year, after record years where our accumulation was around 50-60 ft. So much damn snow they couldn’t even groom a lot of the runs and certain lifts were closed just so they could move snow there.

This year they couldn’t even open until recently. We might get a 2-3 month season, and spring conditions often suck balls (super heavy and wet snow, very icy etc).

What are those little nuggets?

Gnocchi. Little pillowy italian dumplings of heaven.

I read that Breckenridge Colorado is the snowiest resort in the US this year with 28’. Don’t hear that very often.

IPA? Not real familiar with grain bills as I’ve only been doing Extracts. Looks pale with quite bit of hops which means it’s probably an IPA

I have a friend that does almost exclusively all grain IPA’s. He’s getting really good at them. Just had one last Sunday with him and it was very nice. IPA’s have really grown on me over the last 10-15 years. They weren’t at the top of my list back then and was more into stouts. I really like them now though.
