Watch out for the Canadians in Galveston: Symonds, McMahon, Sanders all have a shot at the win!
Lionel Sanders … “the next”.
I agree, Lionel Sanders is “the next” and what a great story! http://www.thespec.com/sports-story/2247775-the-near-fatal-agony-ecstasy-of-mac-runner-aspiring-olympian/
Brandon Marsh and Jeff Symonds will tie for first.
Team Marsh is doing it so far!
Brandon is holding 2nd off the bike and Amy is in 1st.
anyone know what happened to symonds?
Looks like Brandon and Richie have been holding hands for the past three hours. Shaping up to be a good finish. Team Marsh going strong (pretty damn cool for husband/wife combo).
Very close race till the end with Ritchie reeling in Marsh in the last 2 miles…

What happened to Mrs Marsh?
Amy Marsh withdrew halfway through the run. Brent McMahon stopped for about 20 minutes at the end of lap 2, then continued and finished.

Thanks! The collective wisdom of Slowtwitch played no small role in that performance. I once used butyl tubes, counted grams and had my seat too high, but I have seen the light.
Congrats on the great race. Fun to pull up the leader board and see your name at the pointy end.

I have no doubt that Lionel would have been racing for the win today if it weren’t for two flat tires. He can ride and run with the best and his swimming improves every race. He was riding through the field before the flats and posted the fastest run. His dominant win a Muskoka 70.3 last year was no fluke. Looking forward to watching him at the 70.3 U.S. Pro Champs next month.

I chuckled when I saw the original post listing Canadians to watch and he didn’t put your name down - irony.
Thanks for the Lionel update, was wondering why his bike split was so much slower then you other top guys.
Congrats on your awesome race - what’s next on your schedule?
Hey Cody, don’t forget to pat yourself on the back. You g

Thanks. I wouldn’t have included my name with those guys. Until yesterday, I had no resume to speak of outside of Ontario. Admittedly, I still feel like a little kid around these guys. But it’s a good position to operate from!
Next month I’m racing American Triple T on a team, which will essentially be a glorified training weekend. Then some local races (tbd), perhaps Tremblant 5150, then Syracuse 70.3.
