Cleaning Shimano Dura-ace PD-7900 pedal

Hi,

I’m in the process to clean my dura-ace pedal axle and I’m wondering which grease is recommended for the task. The grease in my pedal body seems a lot more liquid than my Phil grease (http://www.amazon.ca/Phil-Wood-3-Ounce-Grease-Tube/dp/B000WYANAG). Is there anything special to pay attention? Shimano doesn’t seems to recommand anything…

Thanks,
Fred

Thanks for the reply. Is it Shimano that refer you to that product?

Park Tool Reference - pedal overhauls, etc.

You can also buy the really expensive Shimano grease. But the green Park Tools grease works fine.

Anyone having different recommendation?

I recommend the green Park Tool PolyLube 1000 Lubricant. It really is good stuff.

I still want to know what kind of crappy weather you’ve been riding in that you even need to service your Shimano pedals. I mean, I’ve put almost 20,000 miles on my D-A SPD-SLs and they are fine.
