So with my bars set up in this configuration, I was unable to get the pads to adjust outward any more than they were… So I was kinda stuck. And my physiology REALLY wanted those pads to be set wider. I was having pain in outer biceps and triceps as well as in my traps and shoulders because my elbows were tucked to narrow. This is what I came up with. The spacer I designed adds 5mm to the pad height, but this was the smallest thickness that I could go with to make it work.
you have no pics displaying(black X’s) and I am only guessing here, but this is exactly what the zipp wing extenders do, only I use them to go narrower. also 5mm thick
Sorry for the pics not working… Fixed it. I’m not familiar with the zipp spacers you’re talking about

requires 25mm bolt hole spacing, not sure what enve has for spacing

those Zipp spacers are handy… I used them diagonally get extra reach on my Cervelo P5
Nice set-up…I see you are not using the ENVE extensions…let me know if you are interested in selling them to me. Thanks
Do you have a picture of this?

I do, but at home. I’ll get it posted later today.
Generally, it just so happens on the Vuka Wings is that the distance diagonally from the inner set of holes to the outer set of holes is 2x if x=the distance to from the front hole to the back hole on any of the 4 rows of holes.
- you just drill a hole in the middle diagonally in line with the farthest two hooles and create three holes each “x” distance from each other.
- you bolt that on to the Aduro bar diagonally, one bolt in the back just holding the wing to the Aduro
- you take a 2nd longer bolt that goes through the Aduro pad as normal, thru the new hole in the wing, and then into the 2nd Aduro bar hole and threads.
- The final bolt goes thru the Aduro pad and into the wing at the front, taking purchase on the threads in the wing that are out there.
Eric
that may make sense to you, but you lost me as soon as you said “drill”
.

- start with an Aduro base bar
- take a Vuka Wing extender… measure the normal width of the spacing between pad holes. draw a line diagonally and drill/dremmel a 2nd hole. Hole should be (and needs to be) equidistant between furthest two holes diagonally. Should look like so on bike:
- attach wing to near base bar hole using Zipp provided black bolt.
- Use a longer 3T bolt for the “middle” hole which you will use as the near hole for the pad holder. use a normal depth pad holder bolt for the far hole. Long bolt will pass through the near pad holder hole and through the drilled hole in the Vuka Wing and take purchase in the far hole in the Aduro base bar, far bolt will take purchase in the threads in the far hole of the wing extender.
- Viola!
