read page - 2012 buys bike, now its lifelong dream. Anyway, A few years ago when I was sitting in something similar to your situation I tried to meet lots of bike shop owners in my local area and after a few months asked for something like a basic internship like deal where I could be paid less than normal and be slowly taught more and more about fixing bikes. This could also work at a running shop, tri shop etc. Most people are willing to help if you show them some effort.
