Investment on the bike

What is the best investment I can make to get faster on the bike. I am currently not training with power. Should I invest in a power meter?

I think you are in the wrong forum, but the best investment I ever made into getting faster on the bike was buying a CompuTrainer. Quality time on the stationary trainer has made tangible improvement for many people.

Depends on your limiter and what’s keeping you from your goals. Generally:

  1. Proper fit
  2. Coaching/proper training methods with an objective look at limiters, strengths. Might involve training time such as a camp, etc.
  3. Power meter – in conjunction with 2.
  4. Time spent as a pure (or almost pure) cyclist.
