I’m calling a 2:04:50
.
2:05:49
.
He said he was running up to 150mpw at altitude and is one of the best mid-distance guys ever.
But it is his first.
I’ll say 2:05:30.
A few good weeks of marathon racing coming up!!!
Do you think that’s with him in the driver’s seat, or with someone else setting the pace? I don’t doubt that he has the engine to run 2:05:XX, but I wonder if he has the discipline to trim the effort over the first hour, absent a rabbit.

2:04:20

There will be pacers pacing the lead group.
They’ll be pacers, but he’ll be in the driver’s seat. That’s why he’s not running London, he doesn’t want to end up in a “race” in his first marathon and I think is more looking to run a steady effort.
A race, with mid-marathon crazy fast 5ks thrown in to respond to, could be his undoing in his first crack at the distance.
2:05:xx if he goes out in a controlled 1:03ish
2:08/DNF if they go better than 1:02low
.
You were closer, but I think I win by Price is Right rules.
2:05:02 and the win, an impressive debut.

I think Flanny actually takes the *Showcase Showdown *since you were over
Right, but I feel like over on times means I underestimated it, which would be the equivalent of guessing a price too low and that’s what you want.
His time guess was too fast, so I say that means he overestimated the target number.
The price is wrong Bob!!!

LOL! Exhibit ‘A’ that we can argue about ANYTHING ST
Indeed!
33:48 for a hilly 10k this morning and drinking some Ultragen now. Thanks!
